Real Estate Resolutions 2010
It’s that time of year again. Time to evaluate the progress of the past year and set new goals for growth in the new year. Looking over the past 12 months many things did not go as planned, but like in sports it doesn’t matter how you start the game it’s how you finish the game!!!
The 4th quarter is finishing out strong for me and I’m using that momentum to set the bar for 2010. Now that I have tested the waters of creative real estate investing I’m ready to dive in the deep end. Wholesaling, probates and short sales have been the low hanging fruit to this point. Time to rev up the marketing and flood the pipeline.
Here in MA real estate agents still don’t understand creative skills in closing transactions. Everything is “illegal” if it’s not done the “traditional” way. A couple have tuned a listening ear to what I’ve been sharing with them and noticing I close deals!!! And as their listings are sitting on the market longer and longer, the need to get deals closed becomes greater!!!With that said the opportunity to make this “real estate thing” work is well within anyone’s reach. Great, let’s make it happen!!!
So, for 2010 ask yourself:
Why do I want to do this? (Knowing your “WHY” is the most important part in accomplishing ANYTHING in life!!! The answer to this question is the fuel, the driving force to your passion. Is it for better opportunities for your family, to live a debt-free life style, retire early, etc. What is reason I do what I do?)
What is my income goal? (Break this down from year to month to week to day to hour. By doing this you might not watch as much “Desperate Housewives” or “The Office” as you used to.)
What are my time goals? (This is where you set the hours per week you are going to work on your business. Remember, what you put in is what you get out!!! If you have to delegate things, delegate to good people or services. You may have to pay for this, so adjust you income goal if necessary)
What investment strategies will I focus on? (Be sure not to spread yourself too thin before you get established. Pick 1-3 strategies and progress as your success grows)
Who will be on power team? (Working with the right people will bring and maintain success. Find people that are on board with your goals)
How will I educate myself to advance my career? ( Books, seminars, networking, etc. Don’t limit your learning opportunities)
How will I defeat FEAR in order to take MASSIVE ACTION to be successful? (Don’t let what was holding you back last year hold you back this year. Do the uncomfortable until it becomes comfortable)
Answer these questions and begin to set your plan in motion.
To Your SUCCESS in 2010 and beyond,
