WHAT’S UP??? It’s been a lil while, but IT’S A NEW MONTH and A NEW DAY…IT’S TIME TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!!! As we approach the beginning of the new year, make sure you take some time to reflect on the past year. What did you do? How did you feel? What got better? What didn’t change? Be honest with yourself and really evaluate areas of your progress and lack of progress, and put a plan together to make the new year even better, for you and your family. Do you want to lose weight and eat healthier? Prioritize time to exercise and be active. Make better choices at the grocery store. Do you want a relationship or better your current one? Start with knowing yourself, your feelings and what you bring to the table. Recognize your faults and work on them. Start with you. Do you want to make more money? Figure out what you are already passionate about. Find people that are successful and model them. Research ALL aspects of the business.
Have a READY, FIRE, AIM mentality!!! You don’t have to be perfect, you just have to get started. Correct as you go. Put a plan in place, get started and remember be patient!!! 5:30am workout…not at the top of everyone’s list I know. Especially after less than 4hrs of sleep and a basketball game the night before, but I feel good!!! My uncle has always told me, “Any successful man (or woman) gets up before the sun.” That has stuck with me ever since I heard it, but it hasn’t become a habit.
Now, where does Bruce Leroy and Kenny Powers come into play? When I woke up this morning I was not in the mood for nothing but SLEEP! My negative inner thoughts were, “Do it tomorrow”, “You’re sleepy you need rest” blah, blah, blah. You know, these are the same thoughts that hold us ALL back from doing what we should and/or need to do. But then the positive side began to kick in. Thoughts like “I’m a Champion”, “Make it Happen”, ”This will make you better”.
The workout was great! Like Bruce Leroy, I realized my “GLOW” aka POWER once again. It’s ALL MENTAL. “Control your thoughts and you control your life” - Dr Wayne Dyer. It also helps to have someone in your corner to encourage you too, thanks babe ;-). But if you don’t, that can’t STOP YOU!!! Sometimes we all have to GO IT ALONE. Once the workout was over I felt like Kenny Powers in the “I’m FN in and you’re FN out!!!” Meaning, how many of my competitors didn’t get up and workout? How many of my competitors won’t do what it takes to succeed? This is what separates the “haves” from the “have nots”. I’m striving to be better because I realize also that there are those well ahead in the game too. WARNINIG - Look in Your Rear View…I’m Coming Full Steam Ahead!!!

The ripples from the Massachusetts foreclosure ruling last week are spreading. While many experts contend that the ruling will have little effect outside of Massachusetts[1] – where, according to one Georgetown professor, the decision to negate two foreclosures based on inadequate proof of ownership of the notes in question “is enough to put a serious cloud on title through the whole system”[2] – other states are hurrying to enact “emergency amendments” that will require similar proofs of ownership in their states before a foreclosure can move forward. Vermont and New Jersey have already enacted such amendments, thereby requiring case plaintiffs (lenders) to “more extensively validate and verify the accuracy of the foreclosure”[3].
While the addition of these requirements may not be a big deal moving forward, if the state courts decide, as Massachusetts’ Supreme Judicial Court did, to retroactively apply these requirements, then it could result in chaos for the entire foreclosure system. In Vermont the emergency amendment applies to all foreclosures moving through the system, but New Jersey the amendment only applies to uncontested foreclosures. New Jersey’s chief justice recently demanded that the state’s six major lenders show evidence why the state should not enact a general suspension on all foreclosures being processed by those six lenders. The lenders go before the judge on January 19, 2011 to plead their case.
